Sharing poetry I enjoyed!

Halloween Night

All day long the clouds lay hanging
thick and gloomy in the sky.
Night approached. The wind was restless;
it gave out a ghostly cry.

Eerie lights blinked in the darkness,
shadows dancing in between.
It was chilly, thunder drawling.
What a night for Halloween!

Costume clad, excited children
knocked on granny’s welcome door,
but the lady did not answer.
She lay lifeless on the floor!
