I’ve always loved to read, but since deciding to escape my comfort zone and follow my unfulfilled century old passion of becoming a published author, I’ve found myself falling in love with……well, words!
I look at them differently now, experiencing words with my heart (rather than just reading them with my lips) since my frightening decision to share my hard-fought journey of using challenges as vehicles for success, rather than letting them strangle the life out of me. I’m a late bloomer when it comes to following my dreams, not even daring to acknowledge the ache or even speak them out loud until well into my forties. My book, Renewal Of The Mind won’t be realized until later this year, at age 51!
One my favorite quotes is by George Eliot as it speaks volumes into my life and inspired me to look beyond my age, and what society or even my past said was possible !
My heart skipped a beat when I stumbled upon this quote and its dramatic use of the word lush to reference words that excite the writer, which will in turn stimulate the reader! It’s the look I’m going for!
